How to Participate

Interested in joining the movement to showcase and celebrate the goodwill of the MBA? Participate in your own TeamMBA event at your school!

Participating in TeamMBA is easy.  Simply follow the steps below for each phase of your event.

Pre-Event 

  1. Plan a student project or activity that supports social responsibility. To help you get started, review the list of activity ideas.
  2. Designate a staff or faculty member to serve as the contact for GMAC. This person will be responsible for registering and submitting your event online.
  3. Register your activity online to receive event support from TeamMBA staff, including assisting the communications department at your school with ideas for promoting your event with local media.   
  4. Recruit participants for your team. Visit the tips for recruiting participants page for ideas.
  5. Market your event. Use our TeamMBA press release template to work with your communications department to issue a press release, website update, and social media updates about your event.
  6. Remind your participants of the activity particulars (date, time, location, what to bring, etc.).   

Day of Your Event

  1. Take pictures and/or video of your participants in action. Review the guidelines for photos and videos for tips on taking the highest-quality images.
  2. Consider interviewing participants for their perspectives on social responsibility, the importance of your specific activity, and TeamMBA. The interviews can be videotaped or written for later use in a wrap-up article.
  3. Have fun!

Post Event

  1. Submit your event recap including photos and video for publishing on this website and in other communications about TeamMBA.   
  2. Visit this site often to see what projects other schools are participating in as part of TeamMBA.
  3. Plan your next TeamMBA activity!
