Rutgers Business School Holds Blood Drive

 

Rutgers Business School Team MBA, a group of first-year, full-time MBA students on the Newark Campus has included service back to the community as an important part of their MBA experience. A calendar of events is being planned and their first activity was to sponsor a blood drive on Monday, December 17^th in cooperation with New Jersey Blood Services. A goal of 30 pints was established and that level was reached within the first few hours. By the end of the day, 51 pints had been collected and some additional potential donors were unable to contribute as there were no more collection bags. However, they will have an opportunity to donate in the spring when another drive is being scheduled.

In addition to thanks and the satisfaction of knowing they had contributed to a very worthwhile and important cause, donors also received tickets to a future Nets basketball game while supplies lasted.
