College of William & Mary—MLK Day of Service 

MBA students participated in the MLK Day of Service as part of United We Serve, President Obama's national call-to-service initiative.  In total more than 140 William & Mary students contributed more than 300 service hours yesterday, donating their time to several local nonprofits, including the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Heritage Humane Society, Dream Catchers, and the Blayton House. They also prepared disaster kits for the American Red Cross and wrote letters to military members and their families.

The W&M MBA Association in conjunction with the William & Mary Bookstore hosted the third annual W&M Night at Merchants Square on Thursday, November 29. The event included a canned food drive that collected 1,212 pounds of food to benefit the Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula.

MBA Students held the first annual "'Stache for Cash" mustache auction to create a microlending account with Kiva.org, an organization that provides loans to people without any access to traditional banking systems. Participants auctioned off their facial hair rights to the highest bidders.
