recently volunteered at Give Kids the World, a local non-profit that
facilitates trips to Central Florida for children with life-threatening
illnesses. Twenty-two students, as well as three faculty
and staff members, volunteered for a combined
total of over 200 hours.

Service Learning is an integral part of the Rollins MBA experience. A group of six MBA students, at the Crummer School of Business, Rollins College, Winter Park, FL provided business consulting services to First United Methodist Chuch (FUMC) of Winter Park, FL and its not-for-profit program, Partners in Hope in Naivasha, Kenya. Students dedicated over 600 hours in the Spring semester, working closely with the FUMC board of directors for the “PANUA” program; PANUA means to expand in Swahili.

Rollins MBA students each volunteered for a day at the Second Harvest Food Bank to sort, prepare and package over 515 boxes of nonperishable food items and childrens' clothing for distribution to area non-profit agencies. The 8,077 pound of food packed helped some of the 23.3% of Orlando area school aged children in poverty, the highest percentage in the nation.
